Weather hazards expected...
Elevated tornado risk.
Elevated hail risk.
Elevated damaging wind risk
Elevated lightning risk.
DISCUSSION...
Thunderstorms are developing at this time and will move through
central Indiana this afternoon and evening. All hazards are
possible.
Storm motion today will be out of the west southwest at 40-50 MPH.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.
Thunderstorms are expected at times through Wednesday night then
possible again on Saturday afternoon and Monday.
Severe storms are possible again on Wednesday with damaging
winds, hail and a few tornadoes all possible. The greatest
potential for severe weather on Wednesday will be in the
evening/overnight. Repeated rounds of rainfall may allow river
flooding to redevelop along with localized flash flooding as
well.

Spotter activation is requested for all of central Indiana
through this evening.

...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of central Morgan,
Hendricks, northeastern Clay, northeastern Owen and southern Putnam
Counties through 715 PM EDT...
At 620 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Greencastle, or 26 miles east of Terre Haute, moving east at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Plainfield, Brownsburg, Martinsville, Greencastle, Mooresville,
Danville, Avon, Cloverdale, Brooklyn, Monrovia, Clayton, Fillmore,
Coatesville, Amo, Stilesville, Bethany, Quincy, Belle Union, Lake
Hart, and Reelsville.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 70 between mile markers 27 and 69.
Interstate 74 between mile markers 67 and 69.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for central and
west central Indiana.
